Co-Founder & CTO
Reza has been doing research at the interface of engineering/physics with medicine for eighteen years at Imperial College. His research aims to address unmet needs in medical devices that may improve the quality of life of patients across the world.
His research has resulted in 11 patents and attracted significant commercial investment and public fundings (Wellcome Trust, NIHR, MRC). He has been leading and managing industrial partners to ensure that sensor and interrogator developments are consistent with quality and regulatory requirements. He also consults for several SMEs in medical device R&D.
Co-Founder & CEO
Longfang has participated in the project at Imperial College since 2014. He specialises in RF communication for implantable devices, sensor characterization, system verification and validation, and collaborative development with institutes and industrial partners.
Since May 2019, he has been driving the commercialization of ICP monitoring system. With a background of academic researcher and various industrial roles (control and software engineer, telecommunication project manager, founder and director of startup company), he, together with core team members, will execute and accomplish the goals and objectives of Reco Medical.
Clinical Lead
Dipankar is a professor of Practice (Neurosurgery) at the Department of Brain Sciences, Imperial College and consultant neurosurgeon at Charing Cross Hospital.
His clinical and research interests cover brain tumours, Parkinson's disease surgery, chronic pain surgery, spinal disorders, and trauma. He has been involved in the project since inception and strong supporter of the potential applicability of the technology for reducing infection risk and hospitalisations as well as providing better treatment for neurological chronic diseases.
Medical Device Engineer
Omar is a Medical Device engineer with expertise in developing medical devices, having worked on developing a Rapidly Manufactured Ventilator System (RMVS) during COVID-19.
Since joining Reco Medical in 2023, Omar has been working on the continuous improvement of the system, developing test rigs, and improving/maintaining Reco Medical’s QMS system. With a Biomedical Engineering background, research expertise, and a deep understanding of regulatory and quality standards, Omar will help the team drive the project through its coming stages.
Software Development Consultant
Rui is an expert in electronics R&D, Embedded Systems, FPGA Firmware Design, PCB Design and Signal Processing.
He has been working at the University of Oxford as a Senior Electronics Engineer since 2007. He led and participated electronics systems research and development for applications in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Sciences and Biotech. He is also highly experienced in design cycle of electronics from R&D to commercialization.
